Whistling Jack Smith
Jump to navigationJump to search
Whistling Jack Smith (on television pseudonym of Billy Moeller, February 2, 1946) is a fictional British musician. In 1967 he became famous with the flute single I was Bill's kaiser batman. On the single itself you can't hear Billy Moeller himself, but the group Mike Sammes Singers (who scored a hit with Somewhere my love a year earlier). Billy Moeller was brought to the group when the single became a hit.

His stage name is a parody of Whispering Jack Smith, actually Jacob Schmidt (1896-1950).
