Henry Arland (born September 2, 1945 in Planegg , Munich , a bourgeois Heinz Mühlbauer ) is a German musician and composer . He is best known as a clarinet player .

Henry Arland, the son of the composer Rolf Arland , was already playing the clarinet as a child. After graduation, he studied at the Munich University of Music and Theater where he passed his exams. He then became a teacher and director of the music school in Prien am Chiemsee .

Already in the 1960s he was successful as a soloist ( lantern melody ), but also as an accompanist for recordings, such as Sweet Clarinett with the Botho Lucas choir . Later, more singles like Kalinka and The Little Prince followed. In the German pre-decision for the 1990 Grand Prix of the National Music , Henry Arland played the title Heide-Lied , but failed to qualify for the final.
From his marriage, which was concluded in 1979, he had the sons Maxi (* 1981) and Hansi (* 1983). In 1993, Henry first appeared together with both in the popular hit parade on ZDF with Carolin Reiber , where the trio took first place. Afterwards, they were a frequent guest at popular television broadcasts.

The three Arlands took part in the 1961 Grand Prix of the National Music , where they won the title with the title Echo of the Mountains compiled by Henry Arland. The repertoire of the Arland trio included folk music as well as jazz, blues and operetta melodies. In the meantime, Arland's sons usually go their own ways: Maxi as a percussionist and presenter of his own program and Hansi as a singer (artist name Solion) he founded the reggae band Sunrise Tribe , is a sound engineer, arranger, composer and lyricist.

Since the teacher diploma of his new life companion was not recognized in Bavaria , Henry Arland announced his position as head of the music school in Prien am Chiemsee. In 1995 he moved to his partner in Berlin , where both lived until 1999 in the district of Hohenschönhausen . After their marriage, they moved to Ahrensfelde .
