Nini Rosso, Celeste Raffaele Red pseudonym (San Michele Mondovi, September 19, 1926 - Rome, October 5, 1994), was an Italian trumpeter and singer.

After a good career and jazz orchestra (the orchestra of the master Cynic Angelini) decides to throw light as a soloist, signing a contract with Titanus (record label distributed by Durium, as the next Sprint). His first album, The Ballad of the trumpet, in 1961 collected some success coming in the first position of the 45s for two weeks; in 1963, he participated in the soundtrack of the film The Family Way, written by Maestro Piero Umiliani, with the song of love Alley, 43. The shot of his life came in 1964 with The Silence (which, since 1986, could have from abbreviation closing of RAI programs by replacing the piece Harmonies of the planet Saturn Roberto Lupi), lighter version of "Silence out of order" played in the barracks, in collaboration with Willy Brezza. The song was recorded for the event: a concert at PalaEur of Rome, in front of a military audience, he decided to run it with a melancholy acting activity, in which he described the loneliness of a conscript who gives a romantic goodnight to his girlfriend away, and the reception was explosive.

The album sold ten million copies, with success also peaks in northern Europe and in Japan, where Nini Rosso made numerous tours; Nini Rosso also played the song in the musical movie of 1965 If I had not you. In the same year he participated in the Cantagiro are here waiting and Naples with the North and South song Festival, while the following year he appeared in the trilogy of musicals Avenue of the song, rhythm, and 008 Operation These crazy, crazy Italians, conducted by Tullio Piacentini. In 1966 he participated in a disc for the summer with Concert for a farewell. In 1984 he recorded peculiar LP with songs of Hit Parade World Magic Motion, (with arrangements by Victor Bach and producer Happy Piccarreda). Nini Rosso was also an actor, usually playing the part of trumpeter, in some Italian sixties musicals: Sanremo - The great challenge, Kneel, Rita of the West, songs, Bullies and Dolls. He also participated with the whole program to the wonderful machine of Piero Angela (more precisely the first episode dedicated to the ear). He died of lung cancer; now he rests in the cemetery Flaminio in Rome.

Il Silenzio is a single Nini Rosso, released in 1964. The first song is an adaptation of "Silence out of order" played in the barracks, in collaboration with Willy breeze; the second consists, entirely, by the same breeze.

Silence is an instrumental piece played the trumpet except a brief spell recited. Reached number one on the hit parade in May of 1965 for 3 weeks.
