Ace of Base was a Swedish pop group, originally consisting of Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg and three siblings, Jonas "Joker" Berggren, Malin "Linn" Berggren and Jenny Berggren. They released four studio albums between 1992 and 2002, which sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making them the third-most successful Swedish band of all time, after ABBA and Roxette.

Happy Nation, also called The Sign, is one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, and was certified nine times platinum in the United States. It was the first debut album to produce three number 1 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart: "All That She Wants", "The Sign", and "Don't Turn Around".

Following the formal departure of singer Linn in 2007, the band performed a series of concerts as a trio in Europe and Asia between 2007 and 2009. Jenny Berggren revealed in November 2009 that she would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the band to focus on a solo career.  In 2009, Jonas and Ulf recruited two new female vocalists, Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson, and released The Golden Ratio in September 2010.

Clara and Julia departed from the group in 2012,  and in March 2015, a compilation album called Hidden Gems featuring unreleased songs and b-sides from the group's inception through 2005 was released, with promotion for the album being handled solely by Jonas and Ulf.

"All That She Wants" is a song by Swedish group Ace of Base. It was released in 1992 as the second single from their first studio album, Happy Nation. The following year, it was released as the first single from The Sign in North America. Produced by Denniz Pop, Jonas Berggren, and Ulf Ekberg, the song was inspired by the Kayo song "Another Mother".

"All That She Wants" is a reggae-pop song which describes a sexually promiscuous woman, with the word "baby" being synonymous to "boyfriend". The song was first recorded in 1991, but went through many renditions before it was officially released.

The song was a commercial success, reaching the top of the charts in many countries, including Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The single was certified platinum in the United States, where it peaked at number two, behind Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)". The single sold over 1 million copies in 1993 in the United States alone, and became one of the best-selling singles of that year.  On 7 July 2014, the single was re-released with new remixes as a digital EP.

"Always Have Always Will" is a single by Swedish pop band Ace of Base. Heavily inspired by the Motown sound of the mid-1960s, the intro samples the intros from the Supremes track "Where Did Our Love Go" and the Four Tops track "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)". It was co-written by Jonas Berggren with Mike Chapman. The song was originally titled "Killer on the Rampage" and contained different lyrics. When the song was pitched as a potential song for the upcoming Flowers/Cruel Summer album, Arista records liked the melody; however, requested that the lyrics be rewritten.

The song was released from the album Flowers in many parts of the world, but at different times.

"Beautiful Life" is a song by Swedish band Ace of Base, released on October 20 1995.  In North America, it was the first single released from The Bridge; in Europe, it followed "Lucky Love".

The song was written on January 1, 1994 by band member Jonas Berggren while he was in the Canary Islands. At the time, "The Sign" had just hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, which inspired him to write the song. Berggren incorporated gospel elements into the song, and the single proved quite successful worldwide, reaching number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart in December 1995.  It also hit #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

Cruel Summer is a 1998 album by Swedish pop group Ace of Base, released as the band's third album in North America on July 14, 1998 and in Japan on August 25, 1998 by Arista Records. When Flowers saw the sale of four million copies after its release in Europe, Asia and Africa on June 15, 1998, Arista Records decided to release a different version of the album in the North America and Japan, re-titled Cruel Summer. This version of the album featured the new track "Everytime It Rains" and many new versions of songs featured on Flowers. As executive producer, Clive Davis enlisted collaborators including production team Cutfather & Joe and songwriter Billy Steinberg. While primarily a pop album, Cruel Summer explores the genres of house, motown, and dance.

Cruel Summer received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who complimented its production and viewed it as a superior version of Flowers. Despite this, the album was not a success and failed to crack the top 100 of the Billboard 200, peaking at number 101. The project was promoted with a series of live television performances which received minimal participation from band member Linn Berggren. Two singles were released from the album, one which became an international success. Its titular lead single "Cruel Summer" peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold. The second and final single, "Whenever You're Near Me" received little promotion and peaked at number 76.

"Don't Turn Around" is a popular song written by Albert Hammond and Diane Warren. It was originally recorded by Tina Turner as the B-side to the single "Typical Male" in 1986. Warren is said to have been disappointed that Turner's record company treated the song as a B-side and never included it on one of her albums. However it has since been included on the rarities disc of the 1994 compilation The Collected Recordings – Sixties to Nineties.

It has been covered by a number of artists, most notably Aswad in 1988 and Ace of Base in 1994.

"Happy Nation" is a song recorded by Swedish group Ace of Base.

It was first released in Scandinavia in 1992 and later released twice in the United Kingdom; in October 1993 when it peaked at number 42, and then again twelve months later it reached number 40.[1]

"Happy Nation" was remade by Ace of Base for a remix kit in 2008.

"Living in Danger" is a song recorded by Swedish group Ace of Base. It was released as the seventh and final single from their debut album, Happy Nation. The song reached number 18 on the UK Singles Chart, and it peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. in 1994. The song also topped the American dance chart in December of that year.

"The Sign" is a song by the Swedish band Ace of Base, which was released on 29 October 1993 in Europe. The song was an international hit, reaching number two in the United Kingdom and spending six non-consecutive weeks as number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. It appeared on the band's album Happy Nation (titled The Sign in North America).

The song was the No. 1 song of 1994 according to Billboard magazine's year-end charts. The song was ranked at number 60 on The Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Top Songs for the first 50 years of the Hot 100 chart  and received a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Performance By a Group or Duo at the 1995 Grammy Awards.
The song was heavily featured in the fifth season finale of American Dad!, "Great Space Roaster". The song has also been covered in the TV series Full House, in which fictional band "Girl Talk", led by character Stephanie Tanner, mess up the song during the performance. Girl Talk performed the song again in Fuller House. The song is also played in the South Park episode "Prehistoric Ice Man," the 2012 comedy Pitch Perfect and in the pilot of Hindsight.

"Wheel of Fortune" is a song by Swedish pop group Ace of Base, and also their debut single. It was first released in the Nordics in April 1992 through Danish Mega Records as the first single from the album Happy Nation. It was re-released worldwide in April 1993 after the success of "All That She Wants".

"Lucky Love" is a song recorded by Swedish group Ace of Base from their album The Bridge.

It became their fifth worldwide single, and was the first single from The Bridge to be released in Europe; the acoustic version of the song was the second single in the United States and Canada. "Lucky Love" also became their first number-one in Sweden.

The song was performed during the 1995 World Championships in Athletics opening ceremony in Göteborg.
