Adriano Celentano (Milan, January 6, 1938) is a singer, dancer and Italian actor.

It is nicknamed the Molleggiato because of his dancing. Throughout his career Celentano has sold around 200 million records, even abroad, and was one of the Italian musical artists with the most sales.
Very often also the author of the music and songs (sometimes co-author of music and lyrics, although, according to his wife Claudia Mori, let them sign to others), thanks to his career and his great achievements, not only in Italy but also in rest of the world, is considered one of the pillars of Italian pop music.

He is granted  the merit of having realized that something in the music business (and costume) was changing, and then to have introduced in Italy, influenced by the new stars of rock and roll from the United States, a new type of music, wild and wide appeal especially for young people of that time.

He starred in about 40 films and published many record albums, enjoying huge success both in music, which is still active, both in the world of cinema (from the late sixties to the early nineties, with Jackpot which today remains the his last film).

In 1958 the Public Music the first 45 laps of Celentano: for Guertler currently prefers that the singer affects cover of American rock'n'roll (Rip it up, Jailhouse Rock, All fruits and Blueberry Hill among others), leaving her compositions in Italian, but, given the success of these four almost nil 45s, Guertler decides to hijack the singer to his new label, Jolly, and allow it to affect even songs in Italian: the first (Good evening Miss and the fever of 'hoola hop) are inserted as side B tracks still in English, but finally in January 1959 is published Hello I'll tell you, the song with which Celentano had attended two years prior to the festival of Italian rock'n'roll; in November of 1958 the song had already been published by Discs Remember interpretation of Giorgio Gaber, and soon followed by other recordings by Ricky Gianco, Pennant and other performers.

Rebels and Adriano Celentano, in "I kiss you kiss ...", 1961.
The disc but has success is The rebel, who is also the first song released written by Celentano (for music); successfully replicated in the summer of Your kiss is like a rock, a piece with which July 13, 1959 Celentano wins the Ancona Festival and selling, in the first week, 300,000 copies coming in first place in the charts for two weeks (as reported data and music discs that year). This record sounds, for the last time, the rhythm guitar Giorgio Gaber: in fact, both for his solo activities for the duo with Whittaker (the two have started to affect together under the name The Two Corsairs) Gaber decided to abandon Rock Boys, I imitated both from Carrara drummer by the two brothers Ratti (the three are dedicated to jazz, but Carraresi will also have some luck in the sixties as a singer and, later, as an author of Japanese cartoons acronyms).

Celentano (which, however, in the recording studio often relies on Jolly musicians) must then find a new backing band concert: then hires a young drummer from Mantua, Gianni Dall'Aglio (nicknamed Cocaine because parents run a grocery store ), who plays in the Original Quartet, and with Whittaker on keyboards, his grandson Gino Santercole to the bass guitar, and Dominic Pasquadibisceglie said Dino and George Benacchio (in the discs of the time sometimes the name is written Bennacchio) on second guitar shaped Rebels . The debut with the new group takes place in mid-September, the Festival Avanti! the Ravizza Park in Milan, where it is proposed the new single girl Teddy (the text of which is another key character in the history of Celentano, Luciano Beretta): the public appreciates the new musicians, especially the drummer boy (who anticipates a decade Michael Shrieve).

The musical activity has, however, a forced stop of a month: September 22 fact Celentano has a car accident, two in the morning, after performing with his group to an evening organized by the Pro Loco at the Rivarolo del Re fair States and is in the company of his girlfriend Milena Cantu, her brother Eugene Cantu and her granddaughter Evelina Santercole when, near the village, the car swerves facing a curve at high speed and ends up in a ditch (today there is a place accident and is called by the inhabitants of Rivarolo "Celentano curve"); Celentano undergoes a chest bruise and a fracture of a rib, and the doctors prescribe a month of rest.
In the same year it was the first collaboration between Mina and Celentano: the Tiger of Crem

Pregherò (Stand By Me) - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CakN2DC2tjg

Pray is a song by Adriano Celentano 1962, sung to the tune of the famous Stand By Me by Ben E. King. The text was reinvented in Italian by Don Backy, who attributed religious significance: for this reason, in 1997 Cocker sang I will pray for Pope John Paul II in the Eucharistic meeting held in Bologna.

Il ragazzo della via Gluck - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrhz2pos1PA

In my opinion the best Swedish song of all time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70k2lHsBMKo

The street boy Gluck second (sixth for discographies accredited) studio album of Adriano Celentano released on vinyl record label Clan Celentano owned by the artist (catalog ACC-S / LP 40007) in 1966.
The unexpected success in sales of the song The street boy Gluck, despite the elimination after the first evening at the Sanremo Festival in 1966, induces Celentano and his Clan, to release an album with the same title of the track, a few months after the festival included in the collection, designed exclusively for the readers of the magazine in soap operas Bolero Film.
The cover, identical to the previously released 45 laps, depicts Celentano for a walk with a friend, both back.
All songs are arranged by teacher said Mariano, who heads his orchestra.
In 1983, the CGD / MusicA publishes an anthology of LP (LSM 1013) with the same title, but also including several songs from those present in the original album. [4] Compilation NOT present in the artist's discography. [5]
In 1991, the CDG and the Clan Celentano together, publish the album for the first time on CD, using the same catalog number (9031-74551-2), [6] also reprinted in the Long playing formats (9031- 74551-1) and cassette (9031-74551-4).
Edition on CD of 1995 (Clan Celentano / RTI Music SP 60782) is added as a bonus track, the unprecedented audition Nobody can judge me, [7] song Celentano should have submitted at the Sanremo Festival in 1966, but that, discarded and entrusted to a still unknown Caterina Caselli (in conjunction with Gene Pitney), will reach the second step of the podium in the same event.
In 2012, the original album, no additional track, has been remastered with digital techniques (Clan Celentano CLN 2102), on CD and LP.

Una carezza in un pugno - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjxCqm7LpDY

a mezzanotte e tre
stai già pensando a un altro uomo... »

Originally conceived as a side A (which appears on the album), it is one of the rare cases in which the other's success this song, does relegate, according to some critics wrongly music, this song on the side less relevant. But also the case where, a piece on the side B of 45 rpm will result, at the end, at least as famous as the one chosen as the main side
Probably the best song ever written by Gino Santercole, grandson of Celentano, and Nando de Luca (who is also the arrangement) with a melody that fits perfectly to the extension of voice Adriano. The arrangement, an indolent pace ride western old style, highlighted by the introduction with strings and horns, is the background to the artist's voice. In the women's chorus that accompanies it is also Claudia Mori, wife of Celentano
love song that tells the benevolent jealousy of a grumpy man, but nice. A prototype that Adriano will play later in the film The gruff 1986. It marks the end of the character Celentano tied to the whims of rock'n'roll, leaving the actor space, strong man but good, with solid moral values (above all: family and marriage), a preacher for a good purpose.
The text is also known for a sensational grammatical error:

"But I would not want you
in twelve three a.m.
are you already thinking about another man ... "

Soli - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY-uzK71U-w

The album of Adriano Celentano Soli is an album released in 1979 by the record label Clan Celentano owned by the artist himself.
It is an album that contained the original version of eight songs that, on the occasion of the reissue on CD, was added a bonus track.
Among the tracks, the track number one by the title track, that is, "Suns", is one of the most popular songs and appreciated Celentano. Very significant, in my opinion, even the track number eight, that is, "Medley", which contains the mixed pieces of the most famous songs of the suspension.
An intermediate album in the career of Celentano they have remembered a few pieces but that is a good album to listen to.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdRaXhIU1Zs

The song, released as the second single after Jealousy, has contributed to the success of the disk that remained for 101 consecutive weeks in the top 50 of the Italian hit parade, selling 2 million copies. It also appears in the following four collections published by the Clan Celentano: The heart, the voice (2001), The times that Celentano was 1 (2003), Only Celentano (2006), The Animal (2008).
The version appearing in The Heart, the voice is a duet with Biagio Antonacci, virtual duet as the original version were simply replaced with those of the stanzas of Antonacci, who sings for other third person (He does not know speak of love ). The duet begins and ends with a nice curtain spoken between the two artists.

Yuppi du - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gubofT5yyw

Yuppi du is a 1975 film directed, produced, set to music and performed by Adriano Celentano.

This is the second film of the famous singer as a director after the 1964 Super robbery shot in Milan with Piero Vivarelli, and is perhaps one of his most famous, even as an interpreter. Famous is also the namesake soundtrack of the film, published in the same 1975 on LP and cassette Stereo8, and the eponymous song Yuppi du is one of the most famous of his repertoire.

The film was a major success, becoming one of the highest-grossing film of the 1974/75 season. After the release, for many years he remained "invisible", as (by order of the same Celentano) was never released on VHS; However, later, he had four television broadcasts of Mediaset (three times on Channel 5 in 1987, in 1988 and 1997, and once on Italy 1 in 1995 [1]), and others on some minor private network.

It was presented in competition at the 28th Cannes Film Festival. In 1976 the film won the Silver Ribbon for the best music. In 2008, at the 65th Venice International Film Festival, it was presented out of competition a restored version, partially reassembled, and numerous changes in both the video in the audio portion, as well as digital processing of the image. Soon after he came out (in this recut version) on DVD.

24.000 Baci - Adriano Celentano

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDV9EuY_wII

"24.000 baci", also spelled "24 mila baci", is a 1961 song composed by Piero Vivarelli, Lucio Fulci, and Adriano Celentano. The song premiered at the 11th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival with a double performance of Adriano Celentano and Little Tony, and placed at the second place. It is regarded as the first rock and roll song to enter the competition at the Sanremo Festival. During his performance, Celentano created a large controversity for performing part of the song with his back to the public.

The song has been described as a "portrait of the disenchanted youth of that time, not inclined to romanticism, and on the threshold of sexual liberation".

The song had a large success in France with the version performed by Johnny Hallyday titled "24.000 baisers". It was covered in English by Claudio Simonetti with the title "Four An'Twenty Thousand Kisses". Other artists who covered the song include Dalida, Connie Francis, Fausto Papetti, Jenny Luna, Carla Boni.
