Un' estate Italiana ( Notti Magiche ) Gianna Nannini & Edoardo Bennato

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjwslNO47J8

Un'estate Italiana ( Notti Magiche ) is a famous piece of music composed by Giorgio Moroder on the occasion of the World Cup 1990 held in Italy. The original title is To Be Number One, the text is written by Tom Whitlock, and was engraved by the same author's entourage, under the name Giorgio Moroder Project: this version was used as the opening song of the television programs transmitted to the tournament by Rai.

For the Italian edition, Moroder turned to Gianna Nannini and Edoardo Bennato, which he rewrote the text, bringing it topped the charts of the peninsula. In fact, from January to September, with some intervals, Italian summer will be the biggest selling single in Italy and, historically, the last 45 laps to get a massive commercial success before the disappearance of this support (replaced by more modern technologies) by the recording industry. It was the biggest selling single in Italy in 1990 and reached the first position in the standings in Switzerland, the fourth and seventh in Norway in Sweden.

The song was presented by the two Italian singers for the first time at the draw for the group stage of the finals, held at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome in December 1989, and played back during the opening ceremony, held on the afternoon of 8 June 1990 Milan before the Argentina-Cameroon game.

The disc was recorded at the Oasis studios in Hollywood and Excalibur studio in Milan, and mixed in Baby Studios in Milan by Massimo Noah, Pino Santapaga, Ninzatti Luciano and Marco Colombo.

Among the first individual to hold an instrumental version (referred to as karaoke version) on the B side, it was published maxi-single in a longer version.

Fotoromanza - Gianna Nannini

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIOqaJiPVHs

Fotoromanza is a piece of music by Gianna Nannini, included in the homonymous single and album Puzzle. It was published by Discs remember in spring 1984, and was the workhorse in the repertoire of the Sienese singer, with whom he won the Festivalbar in that same year and was included in the compilation of the event. He reached the top of the Italian charts becoming one of the best-selling singles of the year and the fourth position in Switzerland.

On the B side of the 45 is etched Friday night (never published in album).

From the strictly commercial side, it was the first single of Nannini get a large response from the public, whereas in Germany was already an acclaimed artist and sold much more than in Italy. Nannini called this exploit as an "accidental success", which in fact opened the door to a long string of successful albums and tours, also able to re-evaluate its previous productions.

In this track, whose lyrics collaborated Raffaella Riva, member of the Italian group, the Nannini ironically on clichés of sentimental stories, found in many songs but also in the phrase book typical of soap operas, on the subject of quarrels and moods couples, the first difficulty, they paint their world in dark colors. The neologism of the title then merges the sentences to the picture story with a typical wide-ranging melody of a romance.

The melody, among the finest examples of Italian music in the eighties, the mixture also include electronic elements with some hard rock interlude, a legacy of the interests cultivated by Nannini in terms of music new-wave and other European musical ferment of that decade.

He entered the collective imagination the opening words of the refrain "This love is a gas chamber", followed by other terms of comparison with the negative sign. Fotoromanza was welcomed with a certain apathy by the German public, perhaps for the words "gas chamber" that they must have a predictable effect in Germany forty years after the end of World War II. The singer to date has performed various versions of the song, even with more rock and punk tones that trigger a great response from the public in the concerts.
