The Wolf (bourgeois Jens Albert , born September 27, 1973 in Lüdinghausen ) is a German rapper and disc jockey .

With his debut The Album (1997), he reached 16th place in the German album charts. Characteristic for the songs is a mostly sampled funk or soul beat, coupled with fast rhymes. The shots are not there (D 25), which is based on the English Get Down on It by Kool and the Gang , and Oh shit - Frau Schmidt (D 18). In the former, Sasha began his commercial music career, still as a background singer. The song "Be Your Own Hero", also from The Album , appeared again in 2002 on the soundtrack of the US film The Rules of the Game with James van der Beek and was to be heard in a full-length scene.

The greatest success was Der Wolf in the 90s. His album, "What Should I Say", released in 2000, had only a modest success. He was then increasingly active as a gastrapper and active with DJ sets. The Wolf is a DJ of the "The Killergroove Formula" group, whose co-contestant NDN has already worked on the "Der Wolf" albums. "The Killergroove Formula" landed several top 40 hits of the international DJ charts and has so far released 1 LP and 6 singles, among others in France and England. He has also been a member of the Dortmunder Funk Rock formation "Higher BuBu" since 2009.

For the benefit CD, which financed Borussia Dortmund's Borusseum, among other things, Der Wolf contributed two songs together with his colleagues in 2006: "Shaalaalala Borussia" (with Ede Whiteman & ND) and "Ein Stern" ( With Ede Whiteman).

In 2007 "Der Wolf" wanted to make a comeback. The album "Wolf GTI", announced for the summer of 2007, has been postponed several times and should be released in 2011, but it did not happen.

Together with his colleagues T-Row, Dr. Markuse and Commissioner Hellek publishes The Wolf since 2011 on YouTube and at schwatzgelb.de analyzes of games of the Borussia Dortmund, which are underlined with rap lyrics.

After clarifying the rights to "Wolf GTI" Der Wolf founded the record label "Bounty Records" with partners in September 2015 and published a video on "Der Phrasensmasher" on YouTube. After the single-release "Wolf GTI" with related videos, the fourth album "Turbofunk" was released on 29 July 2016.
