Emmanuela Marrone, known as Emma and Emma Marrone (Florence, May 25, 1984), is an Italian singer and television personality.

After some experience in the music with several bands, she has risen to prominence as lead singer between 2009 and 2010, getting the victory in the ninth edition of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi and signing a contract with the record label Universal Music Group.

He has twice participated in the Sanremo Festival, respectively, in 2011, paired with Fashion, winning second place with the song will come, and in 2012 with the song's not hell, winner of that edition. In 2014 he was chosen as Italy's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song My city, ranking at 21st place.  Throughout his career he has received, in addition, several other awards, including a Venice Music Award, a TRL Awards, 2 MTV Awards Italy, a 10 TeleRatto and Wind Music Awards for sales of his albums and singles, awarded as disks d 'gold, platinum and multiplatinum. Throughout his career he has also received several nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the World Music Awards.

Born in Florence, he lived his early childhood in Sesto Fiorentino, then moved with his family to Aradeo, in the province of Lecce, homeland of genitori.La passion for music was passed on from his father Rosario, who noting the preparation of his daughter, he has included the age of nine in his Karadreon group, and on occasion even in H2O, of which his father was a guitarist. He received his diploma at the high school by writing an essay about music. He worked as a warehouseman and played the contract work for three years.
