Janis Nikos (born October 11, 1973 in Salonika , Ioannis Sfairopoulos) is a German-Greek singer.

Nikos came to Germany with his family at the age of 15 and went to school in Mönchengladbach . In 1991, he was recruited to Greece for military service, where he spent a few years. He took guitar and vocal lessons and made first stage experiences.

At that time, his parents operated a restaurant in Germany. There they played the songs of their son as background music. Bernd Clüver was interested in the young singer and took him to Germany. The first title that Clüver produced with Nikos was Esmeralda from the Gypsy Vagabonds .

He now worked with a new team. The producer and composer Willy Klüter and the composer Bernd Meinunger took the work under the direction of Palm Records with Nikos. Also producer Rainer Burmann and songwriter Michael Heck contributed titles. With the singles from his first album Bolero d'amor, Janis Nikos reached the front seats of the airplaycharts and was seen on the screen from the ZDF television garden to the MDR hitom festival.
