Marc Pircher (* 22. April 1978 in Salzburg [4] ) is a musician of the popular scene from the Austrian Ried im Zillertal . Pircher sings folk songs as well as Schlager and plays as an accordionist.
Career
Already as a child, he played the accordion and attended a music school. Later, he graduated from the commercial school. In 1995, he accompanied the Zellberg Buam in the television broadcast Musikantenstadl with Karl Moik . In the meantime he had numerous shows on television and participated successfully in several competitions. He counted as a circle of potential successors of Moiks for the moderation of the Musikantenstadl from 2006 onwards.
In 2008 Marc Pircher took part in the ORF Tanzshow Dancing Stars . With his partner Kelly Kainz , he was the fifth of 10 pairs.
In 2013, the documentary film star of Gregor Stadlober and Marco Antoniazzi came to the cinema, for which they accompanied Pircher for months at his concerts, in the recording studio, at press events and fanfares. [5]
Awards and Honors
In 1999, Marc Pircher took part in the Grand Prix of the national music and won the first place with "Ich bin für dich da". After a less successful participation in the Grand Prix of the Volksmusik 2002 he finally reached the 1st place at the 2003 Grand Prix of the Volksmusik with the song "Hey Diandl." In 2009 he won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category for popular music.
