Gregor Glanz (artist's name  , born August 2, 1979 in Innsbruck , former artist's name Bernie Bennings , bourgeois Bernd Brunmayr is a percussionist and entertainer from Austria .

Career
Already in his childhood he designed his own programs as a solo entertainer and singer for the guests of his parents' pension in Seefeld in Tirol .  As a youth he sang in the rock band Ozon among others with Alfred Eberharter junior by the aprons . In 1997 the band broke up.

In the following years Gregor Glanz appeared as a partying singer under the artist Bernie Bennings , for example on Mallorca, on cruise ships and as an imitator of Elvis Presley and Joe Cocker (among others in the TV show Let yourself be surprised with Thomas Ohrner ). He published several Schlagersingles and a music album.

After several years, he put down his artist name and tried a reboot under the name Gregor Glanz . At the Majorlabel Universal Music he recorded his album " Das ist dein Tag" , which was released in March 2010.   In addition to new compositions, the album also includes cover versions of famous hits ( barefoot in the rain of Michael Holm , sugar in the coffee of Erik Silvester , I love the life of Vicky Leandros , this is your day of Udo Jürgens ), but also from titles Other genres ( by the Monsoon of Tokio Hotel , Dance With Somebody by Mando Diao in a German version under the title Tanz ).  Even though the album was advertised as a music clip on Sat.1 , it was a failure and could not be placed in the sales charts in Austria for just one week.

In the spring and summer of 2011 Gregor Glanz began to compose new songs for his second CD. For this he worked with the Austrian music producer and composer Manuel Stix and the German author Rainer Thielmann . The album 5 to 8 appeared on September 21, 2012 at Universal Music .

In November 2012, he announced the separation from his life partner, Petra Frey .
In 2013 he took part with the professional dancer Lenka Pohoralek at the Tanzshow Dancing Stars . The pair departed for eight broadcasts and finished seventh.
