The group was founded in Munich in 2012 by Martin Simma, who simultaneously took over the management, together with the students Michael Hartinger and Julian David . The band members come from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The group was particularly well-known for two music videos , which they staged as if they were flashmobs , in which the band performed with a cover version of the song Rock mi ( originally from the Alps Rebels ).

As a criticism, it was repeatedly stated that Voxxclub would only be a further retort band . This assessment was u. A. The debut album Alpin appeared in March 2013 and reached the top 30 in Germany and Austria, where it lasted several weeks. In Switzerland it reached the top 50 for two weeks. The single rock mi reached 44th place in Germany and Austria and held ten weeks in Germany, seven weeks in Austria. At the Oktoberfest , the album was re-released with five additional songs and, like the single, returned to the charts. The title Rock mi became in the interpretation of Voxxclub to a popular song at the Oktoberfest.

In 2014, Voxxclub was nominated for an ECHO in the category of Popular Music , but the ECHO 2014 in this category was given to Santiano .

In the same year, the group released the album Ziwui, produced in Hamburg by Roland Spremberg . The title of the album goes back to the Zivui, Ziwui ("The Song of the Birdcatchers", also known as "Höttinger Vogelfängerlied"), which was given the title "Ziwui" and "Ziwui, Ziwui" by the Austrian singer Wilfried and 2007 by the young Klostertalern in. The "Song of the Birdcatchers" was originally written around 1860 and describes euphemistically the custom of songbird hunting since the Middle Ages in parts of the Alps . [8th]

On May 4, 2015, the members announced on their Facebook page that Julian David will leave the band and will take them to fifth.  In May 2015, Voxxclub, with Nadine Angerer , goalkeeper of the German national football team and former world footballer, took the song as today to the 2015 Football World Cup .
