Gonna Fly Now, often credited as Theme From Rocky, is a song composed by Bill Conti for the film Rocky, which is the main theme. It was published as a single in 1977 and on 2 July it reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 [2]. She became part of the culture of the United States of America together with the character of Rocky Balboa.

The text was written by Bill Conti himself with Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins, while the voices are by DeEtta Little, sister of the actor Cleavon Little, and Nelson Pigford. The music is performed by the band of Maynard Ferguson, who plays the solo trumpet.

The song is known for its appearance in the Rocky saga, and is present in all films except Rocky IV. He was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Song.
