Carlo Brunner (* 22. April 1955 in Erlenbach ZH ) is a composer and conductor from Switzerland . He is a native of Erlenbach and Küsnacht ZH . His musical focus is the Ländler .

In addition to the main instruments clarinet , soprano saxophone and Eb alto saxophone , he also plays accordion , piano and double bass . He grew up in Küsnacht / ZH, played in a music group called Leugeli, and performed in the Gala for City and Country of Wysel Gyr , where he incorporated his own compositions into the repertoire. His father, Ernst Brunner, integrated him into his Ländlerkapelle Seebuebe and helped him to found the chapel Carlo Brunner. Both formations cultivate the concertante of the Saxon Saxon (see Ländlermusik ). Carlo was then 15 years old. In his 17th century, Age he composed his famous woodfowl Scottish . His great model was and is Kaspar Muther from the Ländlerkapelle Heirassa.

At the age of 20 he attended concerts by the musician Martin Beeler from Einsiedeln. There he met personally the accordionist Martin Nauer , who still stands by him today. Maja Brunner , the sister of Carlo, is a singer of the popular hit. With the song Das chunnt eus spanisch , they performed the Grand Prix of the National Music 1987 the victory title. At the same competition, Brunner took part in his Scottish sleigh ride , which he interpreted with the soprano saxophone.

From time to time he also uses his own voice, for example in the Muotatal wedding blues, a version of the Zillertal wedding blues. For the most part, Carlo Brunner works as a composer of popular hits, which he accompanies with his super-lander chapel. These melodies were partly composed by Arno Jehli and Raivo Tammik and compiled by Charles Lewinsky .

Today his usual Ländlerkapelle consists of: Carlo Brunner ( clarinet and saxophone ), Martin Nauer (accordion), Rolf Müller (piano) and Philipp Mettler (double bass). In his work more than 1000 melodies were created in the style of the traditional ländler. A further milestone is the interpretation of popular hits and traditional country music with the Arno Jehli, the Schwyzerörgeli and accordionist, under the Arno & Carlo label .

Carlo Brunner completed an apprenticeship at Music Hug and finished as a music center. Today he is a music producer and co-owner of Grüezi Schallplatten AG in Siebnen. He is also a music publisher in his current place of residence Schindellegi .
