June Lodge ( 1 December 1958 ) is a reggae singer who scored a big hit in the early 80's with Someone loves you honey .
June Lodge was born in Great Britain , but grew largely in Jamaica . Her father is Jamaican, her mother Brits. In Jamaica she became familiar with the reggae music.
At school she performed for the first time as a singer, but she saw herself more in a career as an artist or actress. Only when she got a relationship with a composer, she got into the music. In 1980 she took the song Someone loves you honey together with Prince Mohammed . The song became a big hit in the Netherlands, where it reached number one position and was the best-selling single of 1982 . In the same year she scored another # 6 hit with More than I can say .
June released another 9 albums, but has not scored any hits since then.

Someone Loves You Honey" is a song written by Don Devaney, originally released by Johnny Rodriguez in 1974 on his album Songs About Ladies and Love. It was recorded by American country music artist Charley Pride and released in January 1978 as the second single and title track from the album Someone Loves You Honey. The song was Charley Pride's 20th number one on the country chart. The single stayed at number one for two weeks and spent a total of 12 weeks on the country chart.

June Lodge recorded a version of the song in 1980, which became the best-selling single of 1982 in the Netherlands.
