Billy Joe "B.J." Thomas (born August 7, 1942) is an American popular singer. He is particularly known for his hit songs of the 1960s and 1970s, which appeared on the pop, country, and Christian music charts. His best-known recording is the Burt Bacharach/Hal David song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" from the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

"Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" is a song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. David and Bacharach also won Best Original Score. The song was recorded by B. J. Thomas in seven takes, after Bacharach expressed dissatisfaction with the first six. In the film version of the song, Thomas had been recovering from laryngitis, which made his voice sound hoarser than in the 7-inch release. The film version featured a separate vaudeville-style instrumental break in double time while Paul Newman performed bicycle stunts.

The single by B. J. Thomas reached number 1 on charts in the United States, Canada, Norway and reached number 38 in the UK Singles Chart. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks in January 1970 and was also the first American number-one hit of the 1970s. The song also spent seven weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart. Billboard ranked it as the No. 4 song of 1970. According to Billboard magazine, Thomas' single had sold over 2 million copies by March 14, 1970, with eight-track and cassette versions also climbing the charts.

"(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song" is an American country and pop song made famous by B.J. Thomas. It won the 1976 Grammy Award for Best Country Song, awarded to its songwriters, Larry Butler and Chips Moman.

Bowing at #99 on the Hot 100 on February 1, 1975, the hit became Thomas' second #1 single, on April 26, 1975. Including the parenthetical part, the title was the longest of any song to top the Hot 100, until 1981 when a medley by Stars On 45 hit #1. It also topped Billboard's Easy Listening chart and was the last of his four Number Ones on that chart.  It also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Billboard ranked it as the No. 17 song for 1975.

Although he would not have any major country hits for another eight years, this hit paved the way for Thomas' future success as a mainstream artist in that genre.

In 1976, the song was performed by the Muppets on The Muppet Show. In 1979, Larry Butler produced a cover version by Kenny Rogers and Dottie West for their album Classics. Alvin and the Chipmunks and Butler covered the song for the 1981 album Urban Chipmunk.

The song was most successful after it was recorded by B.J. Thomas and released as a single in 1970. It went to number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and spent one week at number one on the Easy Listening (adult contemporary) chart.

Thomas re-recorded "I Just Can't Help Believing" with Vince Gill for his 2013 album The Living Room Sessions. The re-recording was released as a single on June 3, 2013.

"Hooked on a Feeling" is a 1968 pop song written by Mark James and originally performed by B.J. Thomas. Thomas's version featured the sound of the electric sitar, and reached No. 5 in 1969 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It has been recorded by many other artists, including Blue Swede, whose version reached No. 1 in the United States in 1974. The Blue Swede version made singer Björn Skifs' "Ooga-Chaka-Ooga-Ooga" intro well known (and famous in Sweden at the time), although it had been used originally by British musician Jonathan King in his 1971 version of the song.
